Amal for Children

Entertaining, hope-filled stories for children affected by trauma and toxic stress, giving them coping skills, awareness and resilience.

The tagline

The Map, The Compass, and The Anchor.

  1. The Map
  2. The Compass
  3. The Anchor

Three things to hold on to. Each story leaves a child with something to keep:

  • Coping skills
  • Awareness
  • Resilience

Trauma-informed by design

Written and designed with child psychologists

Amal for Children brings storytelling together with evidence-based therapy approaches, aimed at reducing symptoms of PTSD, depression and anxiety in children.

Three team members at work around a table with pen tablets and keyboards.

The psychologists shaped more than the script. Trauma-sensitive choices run through the writing and the picture:

  • Colour

Colours chosen as part of the trauma-sensitive design.

  • Camera

Camera angles designed with the psychologists.

  • Sound

Sound designed with the same trauma-sensitive care.
